It is engineered to mimic the look of natural materials like wood or stucco while offering superior durability and resistance to weather, fire, and pests. It’s available in a variety of styles, including lap siding, shingle siding, and panel siding, to suit any home design.

Does James Hardie Siding Protect Against Fire?

Yes, James Hardie siding is non-combustible and provides excellent fire protection. Unlike wood or vinyl siding, it does not ignite or contribute to the spread of flames, making it an ideal choice for homes in fire-prone areas. Its fire-resistant properties add an extra layer of safety for your family and property.

How Does James Hardie Siding Hold Up in Hailstorms?

James Hardie siding is highly impact-resistant and can withstand hailstorms and other severe weather conditions. This makes it a reliable option for regions like Calgary, where hailstorms are common.

Is James Hardie Siding Low-Maintenance?

Yes, James Hardie siding requires minimal upkeep compared to other materials. It doesn’t need repainting as often as wood, and its baked-on ColorPlus® Technology finish resists fading and chipping for years. Occasional cleaning with a garden hose or mild soap is all that’s needed to keep it looking fresh and vibrant.

How Much Does James Hardie Siding Cost?

The cost of James Hardie siding varies depending on factors like the size of your home, the style of siding, and the complexity of the installation. While it may have a higher upfront cost compared to vinyl or wood siding, its durability, low maintenance, and long lifespan make it a cost-effective investment over time.
